Chris Pratt Proves To Be A Bigger Box Office Star Than Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson in Fast Five

Dwayne Johnson’s last movie to rank in the top ten highest-grossers in a year was Jumanji: The Next Level in 2020, not counting his short cameo appearance in Fast X. Although Red Notice was a huge Netflix hit, his last two films in the lead role to hit theaters, Black Adam and Jungle Cruise, were both big disappointments in theaters.

However, Chris Pratt consistently delivered at the box office in the last few years. He had movies ranking in the top ten for the years 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023. The Magnificent Seven actor even had two movies each in the top ten in the years 2018, 2022, and 2023. Compared to Pratt’s eight films, Johnson has only two films that crossed the $1 billion mark, both part of the Fast & Furious franchise – The Fate of the Furious ($1.2 billion) and Furious 7 ($1.5 billion).

All evidence points to the fact that Chris Pratt is currently a bigger box office star than Dwayne Johnson. Interestingly, Celebrity Net Worth reports Dwayne Johnson’s net worth as $800 million compared to Pratt’s net worth of $100 million. Surely, the Moneyball actor deserves more.
