Fans of Jurassic Park rejoice! Whilst the last three films may not have been the best, we do in fact have some classic (and great) media coming at us in the form of the upcoming Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection.
Perhaps not the biggest surprise that with the franchise’s 30th anniversary hot on the horizon, there are various announcements being made, including of course this, the re-release of the original film in cinemas and more.

What does the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection Include?
Originally teased a few months ago, the official announcement and reveal of the collection came yesterday, during the LRG3 presentation from the retro games publisher Limited Run Games. Thankfully, unlike many AAA publishers, Limited Run Games will be releasing the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection on both digital and physical media, meaning we’ll be able to see our collection of dinosaur related media grow even more!
Different to most remasters/remakes though, Limited Run Games are including two games in this collection, but each version of those two games released over three consoles. Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues had editions that were released on the NES, SNES and Game Boy, and for some reason, the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will be including all of these, so six games, two titles, if you’re keep up.
Limited Run Games aren’t stopping there though. They’re releasing three separate editions of the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection, with one in particular featuring quite the price tag. Details on the three editions follow:

- Soundtrack CD with the collection’s original music
- Replica of Dr. Alan Grant’s ID card
- Mini replicas of the NES, SNES and Game Boy cartridges in a nifty, custom frame.
At that price we’re hoping that there’s some serious fans of the franchise out there to snap up the Prehistoric Editions, but expensive physical editions are all the rage these days.
