Yellowstone is a 2018 series that has kind of a similar background to what Killers of the Flower Moon entails. Being a Western drama much like the Martin Scorsese film, Lily Gladstone had auditioned several times for a role in the series. In an interview with Vulture, the actress gave her honest verdict about the 2018 series.

With Taylor Sheridan being the creator of the series, Lily Gladstone revealed that she had auditioned for a role in Yellowstone but had been rejected. In her interview, the actress said that the 2018 series’ depiction of Western and Native America was “Delusional! Deplorable!”. The actress further clarified that she meant no offense to the real Native American actors cast in the project.
