A HUGE 25% of You Couldn’t Get Past Starfield’s Tutorial

A HUGE 25% of You Couldn't Get Passed Starfield's Tutorial

Starfield has been available for quite some time now, and millions of players have started their journey through the vast space. There are countless things for players to do, such as exploring over 1,000 planets, studying aliens, shipbuilding, outpost building, thrilling spaceship battles, and so much more.

Starfield saw a very successful launch, with over a million concurrent players playing the game on day 1. The game also broke Skyrim‘s record for concurrent players on Steam. All of this seemed like a big win for Bethesda and Xbox until the stats revealed that over a quarter of players had not even finished the starting mission.

Starfield players have been busy with exploration, being creative with shipbuilding, and trying out different things, but to do that, they need to go past the opening mission. However, according to TrueAchievements, a massive 25% of players have not completed the first mission. ‘For All, Into the Starfield‘ is the first achievement that players obtain when they go to space. Players get this in under 30 minutes or so after a small tutorial and combat.

It is a story achievement that all players must get, but as per the Xbox achievement stats, only 75% of players have gotten the achievement, which is quite bizarre considering how early it is in the game. This could be due to various reasons, such as if players are using mods, causing achievements to get disabled.

Also, since the game is available on Xbox Game Pass for around 30 million players, it is possible gamers would have just wanted to check out the game instead of actually being interested in it.

Starfield Steam Achievements Fare Well in Comparison to Xbox

While the numbers for Xbox achievements are shocking, achievements on Steam for the game are pretty okay, with the first achievement, ‘For All, Into the Starfield,’ having an 88% unlock percentage. This is because players on Steam had to pay in full for the game, and considering the amount, it seems only fair that they would want to spend some time and check out the game.

It is also important to note that there have been reports of bugged Xbox achievements, which could also be behind such low numbers of the ‘For All, Into the Starfield‘ achievement. As per other Xbox achievements, 56% of players have only joined the constellation, and only 46% of players have earned the achievement of reaching level 5. Other than that, 31% of players have modified a ship, and merely 2.5% of players have completed the story.

However, it’s still early days for Starfield, and not to forget how vast the game is with its exploration and numerous side quests. Players can easily get lost in the exploring ground before they get to exploring space. With all that Starfield has to offer, it is easy to imagine players walking past the first mission and continuing with how they want to play it, as per their preferences.
