Homelander Actor Antony Starr Slams Fake Twitter Account Impersonating Him

Antony Starr might need to personally ask Rainnfall Heat Wave Extreme Winter Wilson to make one more rare appearance as the legendary Dwight Schrute to remind Homelander 2.0 that identity theft is not a joke and that millions of families suffer every year because of it. Following a recent revelation on the microblogging website that was temporarily under the reign of a whimsical, technological genius, The Boys star has come forward exposing what is surely a potential case of impersonation at its best.

Antony Starr Exposes Fake Account Impersonating Actor

In a manner that is very much unlike that of the Homelander, Antony Starr politely steps forward to warn the common folk on the internet about an account that is for all intents and purposes impersonating the actor. Ironically, Starr’s original account is not verified by the blue check while the fake one is. As such, a majority of the followers gravitate toward the verified account believing that to be the real one. The fake account now goes under the username Toni Starr while The Boys actor simply uses his full name: Antony Starr.

Antony Starr coming forward regarding the situation shines a light once again on the matter that has been plaguing the people since the acquisition of Twitter by the SpaceX founder, Elon Musk. The newly established rules by the now-former CEO were unreasonable on multiple counts but they were necessary measures taken to ensure the sustainability of the company that has been on the verge of bankruptcy on occasions more than one.

Twitter’s Sine Wave of Troubles and Safety Measures

Netizens have been clapping back at the measures taken by the former CEO of Twitter after assuming control of the social media giant last year. In the midst of all the confusion about the multibillion-dollar acquisition deal, perhaps the crux of the matter was lost on the people about the unprofitability of the company. Despite its overall financial performance each budget year, the organization couldn’t turn out the profits required to make a company successful in the long run.

Elon Musk’s 6-month long acquisition deal that began on April 2022 and concluded on October 2022 was followed by a series of quick resolutions that witnessed a large-scale exodus of employees from the company, the establishment of new rules that bordered on irrationality but necessary for Twitter being profitable in the years to come and to adapt with the times. However, with such extreme measures also came its own fair set of problems that saw people misusing the reaches of anonymity and authority using merely name and money.

One of the most extreme cases noted last year was the drastic fall in stock prices of a major American giant pharma, Eli Lilly after an anonymous user bought a blue checkmark for $8 and posing as the company spread misinformation regarding the prices of insulin. The company lost $15 billion almost overnight.
