One Piece: Luffy’s 7 Strongest Attacks, Ranked in Order

Luffy’s 7 Strongest Attacks, Ranked in Order

Luffy is undoubtedly the one of strongest characters in the whole of One Piece, and his recent Gear 5 transformation has quite successfully remarked him as one of the strongest characters in the whole anime universe. This has been made possible due to the powers of the Gomu Gomu no Mi fruit that Luffy consumed in his childhood.

It was also revealed last year how this particular Devil Fruit was instead a mythical Zoan fruit called Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, and grants its users the powers of the legendary sun god Nika, allowing them to manipulate their body and their environment as if it is rubber to their advantage.

7. Gomu Gomu no Jet Culverin

An attack from Luffy’s gear 4th arsenal, he uses this ability by compressing his fist and then releasing the blow in any direction he wants. The effectiveness of this attack increases with the amount of arm Luffy stretches each time he pulls the punch.

6. Gomu Gomu no King Kong Gun

Another one of Luffy’s strong attacks, this particular ability was used to defeat Doflamingo and has been used ever since, with the most recent appearance being in the Wano Arc, where Luffy used it to break a large block of steel. This ability works by inflating one’s own arm muscles to a really large size, to which Luffy adds his own twist of the advanced Busoshoku Haki increasing the effectiveness of the attack.

5. Gomu Gomu no Leo Bazuka

Gomu Gomu no Leo Bazuka is an ability that helped Luffy in his battle against Doflamingo, causing him to pass out for a brief period of time. Luffy makes this ability work in One Piece by pulling them inwards and then releasing them outwards with a lot of force toward his enemy.

4. Gomu Gomu no Cannonball

Gomu Gomu no Cannonball is one of Luffy’s most iconic moves, as he uses it after switching to the second transformation of his Gear 4 technique, called the Tankman. Luffy becomes particularly enlarged in this form, and with advanced Busoshoku Haki, he hardens the lower part of his stomach.

Gomu Gomu no Cannon comes into play as Luffy uses his enlarged stomach to absorb anything thrown at him, to be launched moments later with much higher velocity and a huge release of energy.

3. Gomu Gomu No Kaminari

Literally meaning “Rubber Rubber Lightning” in English, this unique One Piece technique allows gear 5 Luffy to transform a lightning bolt into rubber, which then can be grabbed and hurled at his opponent at unbelievable speeds. This was seen during the Wano arc, where Luffy used it against Kaido, which was unfortunately dodged by him.

2. Gomu Gomu no Gigant

The explanation of this particular ability is pretty self-explanatory, using this ability, Luffy is able to turn himself into the size of a literal giant. This is made possible due to his Gear 5 transformation yet again and was used against Kaido in the Wano Arc.

1. Gomu Gomu no Bajrang Gun, The Strongest Attack In One Piece

Named after the Hindu Monkey God, “Hanuman“, this is the strongest ability that has been showcased yet in the series. In fact, this is the ability that allowed Luffy to finally overpower Kaido and defeat him, sending him crashing downwards to Onigashima.

To use this attack, Luffy blows his fist to almost the size of Onigashima, infusing it with both Busoshoku and Haoshoku Haki; then unleashes it at his opponent with the intention of punching them without making direct contact, emitting Haki outward, for a devastating blow.

These abilities have managed to become iconic in the series as they have most of the time been the ones that have defeated the major villain in a series or have helped in the process.
