First on the docket is the battle pass for Season 6, titled “The Haunting”, is that it includes 100 tiers of unlocks for players to make their way through as they wait for Modern Warfare III to drop this fall. Season 6 will include a hellish theme for its bundles and battle pass, with the official announcement reading “The Hellmouth has opened, spilling unearthly creatures from the underworld, and a creeping terror is slowly swallowing all souls as it infects the entirety of Al Mazrah, reaching the bloodred canals of Vondel, and beyond!

As such, it appears that players will have a spooky trip ahead of them as Modern Warfare II winds down, with Warzone players getting a great deal of spooky tricks and treats to satiate their bloodlust going into the spookiest time of the year.

Buying Season 6 will immediately unlock Al Simmons as an operator for players. For the uninitiated, Al Simmons is the original mortal identity of Spawn when he was still a killer for the CIA and an assassin.

That’s not all that is coming in this update, though. Premium pass players will also be able to obtain a robotic variant of Valeria from the Season 6 battle pass, which will come with a pet named Megabyte. Dual Kamas melee weapons, the TR-76 Geist assault rifle, and the ISO 9mm submachine gun will be available in the free tiers of the pass, too.

Keeping the spooky vibes rolling, Warzone‘s Halloween-themed event, “The Haunting” will make its return. It will include “Operation Nightmare” which will require players to battle monsters to send them back to Hell. Al Mazarah will include a map set at night time, and Vondel will include a map themed all around zombies.

On the Modern Warfare 2 side of things, four new maps will launch with Season 6, including two 6v6 maps and two Gunfight maps. One map is called La Casa, set in a large luxury estate in Las Almas, while another titled Koro Village is a reimagining of Toujane from all the way back in Call of Duty 2, now in a winter environment. For Gunfight, players will see the return of King from 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot, as well as a map called Fight, a new version of a popular 2v2 map called Shoothouse.

This season will be the last for Modern Warfare II before Modern Warfare III launches later this year, and it seems it will be an exciting finale to go out on full of popular characters and classic maps. The season releases on September 27, while Modern Warfare III will launch on November 10.
