The MCU is by far the biggest thing in the Hollywood industry in this day and age, which naturally makes the stars of the franchise as close to real-life superheroes as possible. And even among them, Chris Pratt has created an image of being one of the most loveable and funny people that are part of the cinematic juggernaut after he started playing the role of Star-Lord in the Guardians of The Galaxy series.
In recent years, his popularity has only grown with the recurring nature of Star-Lord and the rest of the Guardians in numerous films, including the Avengers series. While it may seem like the star had an overnight success story, another popular star from the industry came forward to reveal that he knew Pratt was going to make a name for himself in the future.
Jason Momoa Knew Chris Pratt Would Make It Big With His Role As Star-Lord in the MCU
Before he became a household name in the film industry for portraying iconic roles in many commercially and critically successful films and franchises, most notable of them being the role of Peter Quill, a.k.a Star-Lord in the MCU, Chris Pratt was famous for his depiction of Andy Dwyer in the hit series Parks and Recreation. Starting from humble beginnings, the star’s meteoric rise to stardom was anyone’s guess in the past, except for Jason Momoa, who easily predicted that Pratt playing Star-Lord would bring a new star to the world.

In a past interview with IGN, the Game of Thrones star talked about the time he was chosen to audition with Pratt for the role of Peter Quill in the MCU, where of course, the Jurassic World star took the casting directors by storm and took the role of the character for himself. Remembering that time, Momoa said that he was sure the star would make the most of that character since he had seen him executing it to perfection during their time together in the auditions. He said:
“One of the funnest auditions I’ve ever done in my life was with him. He’s phenomenal. He’s going to kill it. It’s going to be amazing. It’s a whole Han Solo vibe. It’s going to be a phenomenal movie. I’m glad that he is the lead of that. He’s funny as hell, man. He can improv; he just acts circles around me. It was really, really fantastic.”
While Momoa may have lost the role to the Avengers: Endgame star, he would soon end up playing the role of Aquaman in the DCEU, which became one of the best and most iconic roles of his career.

What’s Next For The Stars?
After making headlines with his latest MCU film Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3, a film that became a critical and commercial success after a long series of disappointments from Marvel Studios, Pratt is ready to take on other films as well, including his upcoming comedy film, Garfield, which will be the adaption of Jim Davis’ iconic cartoon strip.
As for Momoa, the audience is all set for the star to reprise his role as the ruler of Atlantis in the upcoming Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, where he will be tasked with saving the entire planet from a foe of the past.
